Cassidy's mom was here for the past week helping Cass adapt to motherhood and helping us with take care of Scout and it was so great to have her here. It was a great week, we had a lot of fun and we miss her now that she is gone. We went for walks and took a trip to Park City and Midway. Scout is a good traveler, she just sits in her car seat and enjoys the trip. She slept most of the time but even when she was awake she was content with everything as long as she wasn't hungry. I went down to Cedar City for a wedding this past weekend and Cass and Sandie were able to go to Ogden to see her family too.
One of the things that Sandie did while she was here was paint a mural on the wall of Scout's nursery. Those of you who have been over to our appartment know that the nursery is a pretty big deal. Cass is so creative and a regular Martha Stewart only better and I get some crazy ideas every once in a while of things that I think would be cool and I have to try and explain to Cass that they are actually good ideas if she would quit rolling her eyes and listen to me. Anyway... Sandie is an amazing painter, she paints windows for businesses and she has been hired to do murals in homes and stores and if you have ever been to the Dean home in San Diego you have seen some of her paintings. Writing about it won't do it justice which is why there are pictures, but when we were getting the nursery ready and were talking about colors and themes and things like that we thought it would be cool to have her paint a mural on one of the walls. We ended up deciding on a beach theme and Sandie did an incredible job. She was so nice to take the time while she was here to do that and it makes the nursery look so amazing. She just wanted to know what we wanted on the wall and when we said, "hmmm, what about a surfer, and an airplane, and some islands with palm trees, and an outrigger canoe" she just said "sure," and it turned out perfect.
Thanks Sandie for sharing your talents with us and for helping out with Scout and thanks to Steve and the twins for letting us borrow her for a week. We would have taken her longer if we could. We love you Grandma Dean!

Wow! That's incredible! And what a fun 'theme' for her room. Our baby won't get a nursery until we move in April...oh well, that just means more time for me to plan one. :)
Oh my gosh!!! Cassidy and Ammon that´s a beatiful baby you have, she is so so cute... I´m Ina from Argentina, remember me? he he! I love you and miss you a lot. Hope to see you some day soon.
